ONE HIT WONDERS
A female recreational dek hockey league, based in Bettendorf, Iowa.
The Brief
To create a logo for womens dek hockey team. Dek Hockey is a fast-paced sport similar to ice hockey. Dek is distinctive because, instead of skates, players run and play with a hockey ball instead of a puck. It is a unique sport with its own pace, rules, and appeal.
This team requested something bold, and bright. Staying away from traditional women's themes, with lighter colors and thinner typeface. The group wanted the logo to represent their strength and fun of their team and its' personality.
BEYOND A LOGO
Created in Illustrator. Using the color scheme from a previous season team name, One Hit Wonders was formed as a group of women wanting to learn the sport and get active in a fun and recreational way. Logo design was created to show a playfulness the women want to achieve during the season. Slanting the represents motion in this fast pace game.
